New Campaign : MNET’s 2011 MAMA Awards - Airs Nov 29th

Mnet ‘2011 MAMA’ will be held in Singapore on November 29



“The worldwide phenomenon of K-POP will again show its power”

‘2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)’ will take place this year in the famous Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Last year, MAMA was rebranded as Asia’s premiere music awards show, and took place in Macau.

The show first aired as the

in 1999 and has been held in Korea for the last about ten years. With the start of MAMA 2010 in Macao as Asia’s largest music awards show.

‘Music Makes One,’ 2011 MAMA’s concept, carries the meaning of music bringing everyone in the world together. In sync with this concept and the popularity of K-POP, the top Korean artists and other acclaimed artists around the world will come together to create the ultimate music festival.

The show aired in 15 countries including China, Japan, Singapore and America, which attracted an impressive viewership of 1.9 billion people.

MediaCorp, a major public network in Singapore will be coproducing this year’s show with Mnet, which raises MAMA’s credibility as Asia’s premiere music awards show.

MAMA producers have said that “Singapore is one of Asia’s leading economic and cultural hubs, which includes a well prepared entertainment infrastructure and capability of providing fans a comfortable environment.“ Given that “Singapore also acknowledges the worldwide popularity of K-POP which makes them look forward to MAMA even more.” 

2011 MAMA will be aired live from 7pm to 11pm on Tuesday, November 29. The live red carpet event will take place from 5pm to 7pm for a total of 6 hours live from Singapore. (KST)
